Saint Paul, MN – “The numbers are clear – Minnesotans need to stay home. Based on our best data, Governor Walz’s Stay At Home order is our best choice,” said Auditor Blaha.

State Auditor Julie Blaha released this statement on Governor Walz’s Stay at Home Executive Order.

Blaha continued, “I will be voting yes on today’s orders to stay at home and continue current school and business closures at this afternoon’s Executive Council meeting. I am making this choice soberly, but also with hope. The mathematical and scientific modeling shows that strong, wide-scale action is needed to stop the COVID-19 virus from overwhelming our health care system.”

“This order gives me hope because it deploys all of us to take concrete action to save lives,” Blaha added. “I know that together Minnesotans can, and will, rise to this challenge. The better we all do our part to stay home, the faster we will slow down COVID-19 and protect our communities’ health.”

“This is the action we need now - let’s stay home Minnesota.”
